…As the Sea Of Blue and white misses out from Africa.
A Paul Katema tap-in from a goal mouth scramble was all Red Arrows Needed to spoil the un beaten run party in Kabwe.
Kabwe Warriors came into the match bubling with flaming confidence having gone 17 matches unbeaten and looking for 3 Points to a game away from winning their first league title in 35 years.
The match began on a pacy note with warriors throwing everything in search of an early goal. Warriors would have found the back of the net in the 5th minute but Jimmy Ndhlovu failed to convert a seater from close range.
The boisterous crowd kept the party waves in the stands going but Paul Katema had his own monster ambitions. The Red Arrows talisman found himself in the right place at a right time and capitalised on a goal mouth scramble due to some indecission from Thandi Mwape.
Paul Katema turned and snapped in a scorcher from close range to break Warriors’ virginity and the match went on to end 1-0 in favour of Red Arrows. The heart break in Kabwe means Warriors drop out from the continental spots for the first time on the last day of stream action.
Else where in the league, Zesco United soared to the summit of the stream after beating Kitwe United 2-1 in Ndola.
Else where ZANACO sneaked into second position after one all stales mate against Prison Leopards who parks back to the Nation First division.
The result entail that ZESCO and ZANACO join Green Eagles as the country’s representatives in Africa next season while both Arrows and Warriors miss out.
Here is the stream a top four after the last matches:
- Zesco United 33
- ZANACO 33

- Kabwe Warriors 31
The winner of stream A will take on the winner of stream B in the copper decider.
