  • Diamond Chikwekwe and Jasper Masialeti scored in each half as Green Buffaloes maintained a 2 year unbeaten run over Nkana with a 2-1 defeat in the week 11 match of the MTN-FAZ Super Division on Saturday at Nkana Stadium .


  • And in Lusaka the pensioners Napsa Stars surprised giant league leaders Zanaco after thd later was throttled at 2-1 final result. Napsa have had difficties since the season begun with one loss after another.  It was a bad result for the bankers  and head coach Numamba lagging behind on the league table

Buffaloes opened the scoring through Chikwekwe 60 seconds in to first half after capitalizing on a defensive error by defender Given Sinyangwe .

Idris Ilunga Mbombo restored parity 38 minutes later assisted striker Ranold Kampamba .

The two teams went into half time locked 1-1 with soldiers tactically superior than Kalampa .

In the second stanza , Mbombo missed the chance to put Nkana ahead on 46th minute after he was set with a brilliant pass by Walter Bwalya .

Both teams had decent opportunities in second half but this time it was Buffaloes who again capitalized on Nkana defensive lapses with Masialeti sealing the victory on 49th minute making it 2-1 for the visitors .

A win at Chilata has pushed Buffaloes to 24 points from 10 matches played while Kalampa drop to 5th on the table on 19 points with a game in hand but could drop further down should Power Dynamos beat Nchanga Rangers on Sunday at Arthur Davies Stadium .

Nkana have only managed to win one game at home this season against New Monze Swallows .

This was 6th win for Buffaloes over Nkana in the previous 7 games since 2015 with Kalampa registering one win .

Nkana last beat Buffaloes on May 30 , 2015 in Wusakile .

Action continues on Sunday with Lusaka Dynamos hosting Red Arrows in Lusaka .
