Green Buffaloes Turn off Chingalika Hunt. Army sponsored side Green Buffaloes welcomed Kitwe United to Super League with a clean 2-0 defeat at Garden Park in the Week One match of the FAZ Super League on Sunday 18th.
And in Ndola, big spenders Buildcon FC were handed a 1-0 beating by National Assembly goal courtesy of Captain Peter Mwangani. National Assembly bounced back to super division after a two year absence.
Buffaloes scored through Youremember Banda and Aubrey Chellah both goals in the second stanza after the two sides went goalless at half time.
Dynamos
At Arthur Davies Stadium, a Alex Ng’onga brace helped Power Dynamos edged out Kabwe Youth Academy by 4-2.
Dynamos opened the scoring on 13th minute through Reagan Nkuy Ndama but his goal lasted for only 2 minutes after Patrick Kosongo restored parity for the visitors.
Larry Bwalya doubled the scores in 30th minute via a free kick making 2-1.
In 37th minute, Kabwe Youth scored but had their goal disallowed by the referee.
The Kabwe outfit continued pilling pressure on the home side and pressure paid off on 41st minute when Peter Chinyama levelled the scores to 2-2.
Striker Ng’onga extended lead for Power to 3-2 in 64th minute before he netted his second goal of the day towards the end.
Saturday’s win has pushed Power to first position on 3 points, seconded by Buffaloes on 3 points because of goal difference.
