Buildcon cheers up for their first win going out of relegation

Forward Rahim Osumanu’s first half brace inspired ‘Team Kopala’ Buildcon to first victory of the 2018 season with a 2-1 defeat over New Monze Swallows on Saturday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the Week 7 match of the MTN-FAZ Super League .

And at Arthur Davies Stadium, debutant Gamphani Lungu was the difference of the two sides as Power Dynamos beat 10 – Man Red Arrows 1-0 to remain second on the log .

Osumanu broke the deadlock on 7th minute before he scored his second on 17th minute stretching the lead to 2-0. Swallows pulled one back through Joseph Mwindilila on 87th minute but it was insufficient for even for a point prognosis.

Team Kopala move into 16th place after Saturday’s win with 5 points from 6 matches while Swallows is 19th with 2 points from 7 matches played.

Meanwhile, Lungu’s goal pushed Dynamos to 16 points at par with Green Buffaloes who are scheduled to face Lusaka Dynamos tomorrow Sunday .

Stretching to Choma Southern Province New Monze Swallows continue to prove they are new to the super league. A 4-0 defeat at the hands of the neighboring town club Choma Eagles sealed that fate for week 7.

New Monze Swallows remain yet to win a game together with Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy. Napsa Stars also fall in the same winless fate having lost 6 games and drawn only 1. New Coach Elijah Chikwanda is up for a treat.

This is the second game Elijah is been in charge and he has not yet produced 3 points. Firstly his new team Napsa Stars drew with Buildcon 2-2 and now has lost to newly promoted National Assembly.
