Chipolopolo to face Botswana. Chipolopolo boys were off to Durban today to face off Botswana in the Cosafa 2022 quarter-finals. Zambia national football team joins the tournament at the quarter-finals stage on Tuesday 12th July to play Group A winners: Botswana.
Other teams to play quarter-finals of the Cosafa 2022 are;
- Madagascar v Namibia
- South Africa v Mozambique
- Senegal v TBD
Since its inauguration in 1996 Zimbabwe has won the most titles with six wins, followed by Zambia and South Africa with five wins. Zambia won the cup in 1997 and 1998. It took 7 years before Zambia could come back and finish first in 2006 though they had been runners-up in 2005 and 2004. The third-place had been in 2003, 2002, 2001 and 1999.
