The MTN FAZ week 3 fixtures notes some interesting match days as Zesco United plays their first game for the 2016 season against Power Dynamos, while Nkana seeks to stay on top of the table for a third consecutive win as they face Mufulira Blackpool

Mufulira Blackpool vs Nkana – ADS 13:00pm

In Week 3 of the Zambia super league Nkana “Aba Red” faces the youngling Mufulira Blackpool tomorrow on 2nd April 2016 in a double header at Arthur Davies stadium.

Kick Off is 13:00hrs pm and the spirited Nkana squad is featured for an easy win and is expected to turn the newly promoted Mufulira Blackpool inside, down and out.

This is expected to be a cracker for Nkana “Kalampa” fans flowing into a consecutive third win beginning the 2016 season. Nkana has registered more goals (5) just in two fixtures than the first three premier league games in the 2015 season where Nkana scored 1 lost 3 and conceded 2 goals to Nkwazi at Ichilata.

Power Dynamos vs Zesco United – ADS 15:00pm

This is a fixture that might be fifty-fifty and levelled at the final whistle. Power Dynamos “Aba Yellow” weakness is in the relaxed defence with young Billy Mutale who occasionally has to rely on Francis “Mr Reliable” Kasonde. Lawrence Chungu is unpredictable as much as Joshua Titima is been of lately giving away a goal to NAPSA Stars and a minute later making great saves. Govinda Simwala might play well and Kelvin Mubanga’s push will be impetus.

Coming from a loss Power Dynamos will push for a win given a draw as a least result. Martin Phiri in the forward has not fully shown the scoring ability in line with Patson Daka and the promising Larry Bwalya. This leaves an open question as to where the goal will come from. Power is packed with an average squad with average age and a result may come either way.

On the other side Zesco United “Zega team ya ziko” is gliding on a secondary slate; this will be their first game of the league having been occupied with the CAF Champions league with Al Ghazala Wau and Horoya FC. They might not play an open game to reserve the commitment for the next Orange CAF Champions league 1/8 Finals fixture with Stade Malien.  A draw will be fair for both teams

A 4:5:1 formation might work for the Power Dynamos looking at Zesco United who likes to open up the wings from mid going forward to the front and immediately introduce the coffee adrenaline Misheck Chaila in the mid. Jesse Were plays well and he is definitely to trouble Power. Zega’s (Zesco United) weakness will be the defence.

Nchanga Rangers vs Zanaco – Sunday 15:00pm

This fixture will draw attention as it will be Zanaco’s first hand taste of the 2016 super league contention.
