Nkana vs Nakambala Leopards

nkana went on to win against nakambala leopards by 6-3

Recap

Nkana upbeat over title hopes

NKANA coach Aggrey Chiyangi says his team’s title hopes have not ended despite dropping valuable points in the 2-all draw against Mufulira Wanderers on Sunday.

And Wanderers assistant coach Moses Kashimoto says his team is targeting three wins from the remaining six games to avoid relegation.

Nkana twice led the match but allowed Wanderers to force a draw that may have ended its challenge for the Super League title, with Zanaco leading by eight points and two games in hand.
“This is very sad because we have dropped points.

This result has slowed us but we will fight on. The only thing we have to do is to push our boys hard because we were winning this game and we defended poorly, they have to learn to win these games.

But the title fight is still on, there are still many games remaining,” said Chiyangi.
And Wanderers, who have found themselves in the relegation zone, must win four of the remaining six matches to avoid a quick return to Division One.

“We planned for this result, we watched Nkana in their last game against Green Buffaloes, so we knew what to do with them even if they scored first. We will survive relegation if only we win three of the last six games, that’s our plan,” said Kashimoto.

Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba, who had a memorable game, scored first in the 11th minute before Wanderers equalised on 48 minutes through Ben Chengo. Walter Bwalya restored Nkana’s lead with four minutes remaining, only for Joseph Kasongo equalise in the dying minutes.
