Kitwe United vs Kabwe Warriors
It was a disappointing result for Kabwe Warriors who before the match were upbeat about maintaining the winning momentum after beating Green Buffaloes two-nil which made them climb to the third position on 44 points.
Little did they know that their opponents were party spoilers and despite being the only confirmed relegated side Kitwe United scored two goals in the space of eight minutes thanks to goals from Kabangwe Mwaba brilliant taken free-kick and a Josephat Kasusu left-footed shot from an Edward Lungu assist to pick up their second win in the current season.
Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba scored the consolation goal for Kabwe Warriors via a penalty buy it wasn’t enough to deny Chingalika a second league win at the very same venue they recorded their first victory against relegated threatened Nkana.
Warriors now remain with four games and will need to win all the games to cement their quest for Continental showpiece which will be historical as the last time they participated was in 1995.
