High flying Nkwazi denies Zesco third straight win

High Flying Nkwazi denied Zesco United chance to open up a four point lead at the summit of the FAZ Super League following a 1-1 stalemate in the Week 33 match played at National Heroes Stadium on Sunday.

Enock Sabamukwama put the visitors in front but Nkwazi’s Edward Mwamba restored parity minutes after.

The draw pushes united to 63 points, two better than second placed Zanaco after 33 matches played.

As for Nkwazi, they remain 12th on the log with 42 points.

On the same venue, Lusaka Dynamos relegated Nkana to 5th position after thumping bottom placed City of Lusaka 5-2.

Striker Chris Mugalu scored hat-trick while Aubrey Funga and Joseph Ochaya contributed a goal each.

City scored through Thibwigidi and Ishmeal Salim Dunga.

Dynamos move into 4th place on 57 points after 33 matches.

Mugalu takes his goal tally to 20 this season.
