In-depth postmortem of the 5 roped in the CHAN squad

Micho has drafted 5 players into the CHAN squad from the suggestions presented to him by the fans in an all-stars vs the rest match.

Chan 2020 competition was originally to be held in April 2020 but due to covid -19 was postponed and later announced to be held in Cameroun in January and February 2021

But what really do the 5 roped in the CHAN Squad bring on the table?

Spencer Sautu

The Power Dynamoes attacking midfielder made an automatic yet majestic walk into the CHAN squad headed for Cameroon with an eye-popping display on Tuesday.

Quick direct and composed on the ball, he was a constant menace.
Bruce represented Zambia in 2015 under 20 Afcon featuring in all the matches against South Africa, Ghana, and congo Dr. He was also an impossible figure in the under 24 class of 2016.

He has a few senior national team CAPs to his name but his performances have always been below par and he is yet to score in senior National colors.

Adrian Chama

The Green Buffaloes center back made a switch from Green Buffaloes to Zesco United this year and his display against the all stars side was solid.

He comanded his defence with such voice and heartbeat. His partnership with team mate at Zesco Clement Mwape looked like a partnership made in a cement factory.

Adrian CHAMA who is also the captain of the Zambia Fustal team has had an eratic career with the National team. The 31 year old brings in some vast experience to the CHAN 2020 with 9 CAPS for country and a total of 638 minutes in National team colours.

Rodger Kola

The towering ZANACO forward is joint top scorer with team mate Moses Phiri. They both have seven goals apiece.

Kola is by far the most experienced player in the CHAN squad. At 31, he has played for five different team in Europe including Kaa Gent of Belgium . He also played for Locomotive, Golden Arrows in South Africa before he made a 360 degrees turn to where it all started from in Zambia.

He will have to battle for a place in the starting line up against Chabula who has over and over been Micho’s favourite right hand too and this battle doesn’t look any easy.

The forward boasts of some exquisite ball control and ability to shield and protect the ball with some cumming approbation. He is a beast going forward and a monster in front of goal.

Harrison Chisala

Harrison Chisala has been in top form for Nkana and the tricky right winger was a joy to watch on Tuesday as Micho’s choice battled the rest.

He was quick, direct and raised red flags of danger each time he powered forward.

He has never been given time to prove his quality tracing back his days from national junior involvements. Lewa was part of the under 20 team at the 2015 Afcon but never kicked the ball as he finished all the three matches on the bench.

He was also part of the triumphant under 20 team that won the Africa Cup in 2017 but only had a few minutes played in the 6-1 bashing of Mali.

Clement Mwape

The former Kabwe Warriors center back now on the books of Zesco United raised to star dorm two seasons ago when they formed an impregnable partnership with Thandi Mwape at Kabwe Warriors.

The Bromance ended a season later when Thandi made a move to T.P Mazembe while Clement signed with Zesco.

Gifted with speed, agility and a body build to intimidate, Clement Mwape is made of nothing but steel.

His aero dynamics and ability on the ground makes his one of the best center backs in the league. Coming into the CHAN squad he will have to battle for a starting berth in Micho’s team against incredible boys like Luka Banda and Golden Mafwenta and the depth this will create is quite deep.
