2023 MTN Super League Week 20 Sunday action and results saw Kabwe Warriors edge out Prison Leopards while ZESCO United went goalless against Nkwazi.
The MTN Super League continued on Sunday with Week 20 action, featuring some exciting matches that kept fans on the edge of their seats. In the first match of the day, Kabwe Warriors faced off against Prison Leopards at Godfrey Chitalu Stadium.
The Warriors secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory, thanks to goals from Tinklar Sinkala and Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba. David Obashi scored the lone goal for the Leopards.
The match was tightly contested from the start, with both teams creating several scoring opportunities. However, it was the Warriors who struck first in the 9th minute, when Sinkala found the back of the net with a well-placed shot. The Leopards tried to respond quickly, but the Warriors’ defense held strong.
In the 53rd minute, the Warriors doubled their lead when Mwachiaba scored off a pass from Sinkala. Though 3 minutes earlier the Leopards did not give up, and in the 50th minute, Obashi scored to cut the Warriors’ lead in half. However, the Warriors’ defense held strong for the remainder of the match to secure the 2-1 victory.

In the other match of the day, ZESCO United played to a goalless draw against Nkwazi at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Both teams had several chances to score, but neither could break through. The draw halts ZESCO United’s movement on the league table, while Nkwazi still sits near the bottom.
