Nkana Football Club have set up pre-season training camp in Zimbabwe ahead of the 2018 season in which they will compete in the FAZ Super League and the Total CAF Confederations Cup. A 30 member Nkana squad arrived in Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
Kalampa are expected to play friendlies against FC Platinum and Ferriovario of Mozambique while camped in Zimbabwe.
The team is expected to return home on Tuesday next week.
Kalampa are on bye in CAF Inter-Club games – waiting for the winner between CR Belouizdad of Algeria and a Malian opponent yet to be known.
Nkana’s first match in the CAF Confederations is slated for March and should they progress they will clash against the loser from the pre-group stage of the 2018 Total Caf Champions League.
Beston Chambeshi men pushed fourth at the end of the 2017 Zambia super league earning the second slot in the CAF confederation together with Green Buffaloes. Rivals Zesco United and Zanaco will be playing in the Champions league.
