All eyes today will be in Ndola as ‘oil boys’ Indeni host Mufulira Wanderers in a clash that whets the appetite to the point of salivating. Such is it’s gargantuan promise in all the four Zones of Zambian football this weekend.

For those blessed with watching the games live, the prospect of league leaders coming to face second placed  will finally be realized, as the table will be the reference to everyone after this encounter. It’s a must watch game, as two sides who have been involved in plenty of thrillers of late will surely serve up a feast that even the neutrals would appreciate.

Mufulira Wanderers grabbed the Barclays Cup slot from Indeni when all pointers favoured Indeni to get it and that will be an extra motivation to Indeni in trying to show the country which club is better placed in zone and deserve super league qualification.

This will be like a cup final where both teams will fight tooth and nail to emerge victors.

The race for this season’s super league promotion  has been nip and tuck all season and a win for either side could show different direction for the race.

A win for Indeni will cut the difference between them and the legendary cup fighters ‘Mighty’ to two points but should Mufulira Wanderers win and make it 10 wins in a row.

They would go  8 points clear and be clear favorites to bounce back into the ‘promised land’ of Zambian elite league.

Kansanshi Dynamos, Gomes and Chambishi will be monitoring this game and a draw could save as a booster to all the chasing pack.

Back to the game, it is interesting that both clubs still harbour title aspirations. And this is testament to their recent form and what their respective coaches are fighting for. What is encouraging is both teams’ ability to excel during time of a lot of expectations from their fans. Hence this exciting fixture.

Without a doubt,  form favours Mufulira Wanderers. The inclusion of the players in the mid transfer window just goes to say it will not be easy for teams to brush aside this Mufulira outfit. But this is a real test for Chinama and his boys as Indeni has shown the resilience and some level of consistency.

At Shinde stadium, they played punch for punch and were a better side against the host team until matching orders were served to one of their players and Wanderers capitalised on a one man advantage to use experience and win.

Win this game been played in Ndola at the home ground of the ‘oil boys’, Wanderers should brace themselves for a tougher encounter. Should they pass this test with a positive result, ‘Mighty’ will be untouchable and continue dancing in cloud 9.

Let the game live to it’s billing and not disappoint.
