Levy Mwanawasa host FC Saint Eloi Lupopo of the DRC and Marumo Gallants of South AfricaLevy Mwanawasa in a CAF competition.
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola will host FC Saint Eloi Lupopo of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as they face off against Marumo Gallants of South Africa. This is matchday two of the CAF Confederation competition, and both teams are starving to secure a victory to improve their standings in Group A.
According to FAZFootball source, “the match to kick-off at 15h00 is being played at Levy Mwanawasa because Lupopo’s home ground Stade Frederic Kibassa Maliba in Lubumbashi does not meet CAF sports specifications for a stadium.”
Despite this setback for Lupopo, they’ll be hoping to bounce back from their opening group game, which ended in a 3-0 away loss to USM Alger of Algeria.
On the other hand, Marumo Gallants enter this game in high spirits, having recorded an impressive 4-1 victory over Libyan club Al Akhadr in Johannesburg last Sunday. They’ll be looking to build on that performance and secure another win on the road in this tough away game.
Will Lupopo secure their first win of the group stage, or will Marumo Gallants continue their winning streak? Keep an eye on this match to find out!
