Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy punished Rangers at home with the final result for week 25 pointing to the Academy. Nchanga Rangers losing at home meant disaster for them as they dropped deep into relegation.
But it was all smiles for George Kapembwa’s National Assembly now standing at 16th position out of the relegation.
Nchanga Rangers suffered a second loss in a row effectively pushing them to 19th position second to last. The game in hand against Lusaka Dynamos still counts little. At 17 points the next team on top is Napsa Stars with 19 two short of Kabwe Youth Academy.
National Assembly showed much improvement. Coming from behind the George Kapembwa men stepped up to a 3-1 final score. Ernest Mbewe opened the deadlock to put ahead Zanaco as early as fifteen minutes into play.
But it was Tshite Mweshi 5 minutes into break that brought Assembly into the game. And a minute before the halftime Peter Mwangeni pushed up to 2.

Meanwhile in Kitwe Festus Mbewe bagged in 2 in addition to Idriss Mbombo converting from the spot to put Lumwana go home with nothing.
In Southern province at independence stadium both the Greens came out only with a point. Diamond Chikwekwe near the half hour mark put the Buffaloes ahead. Anos Tembo restored the level just few minutes into second half.
Lusaka Dynamos entertaining Kabwe Warriors was a goalless draw at the final whistle.
At Edwin Imboela stadium Musukuma lone goal was enough to shut down the travellers Chingalika. This means Kitwe United have lost two games in a space of 8 days.
Another lone goal from Phiri of Nakambala ensured Red Arrows dropped points remaining at 27 after the 25th match day.
