MUZA and Trident have made a splash in the 2023 Absa Cup by securing their places in the semi-finals. This is the first time that both Trident FC and FC MUZA have made it to the Absa Cup semi-finals.

These two teams, who are participating in the Absa Cup for the first time, have shown impressive performances in the quarterfinals and have cemented their place in the next round of the competition. Red Arrows Shot Down

The 2023 Absa Cup Quarterfinal 4 match between Red Arrows and FC MUZA was an exciting affair, with FC MUZA eventually coming out on top with a 2-0 victory. Gift Simanansa opened the scoring in the 4th minute of the game, giving FC MUZA an early advantage. Andrew Phiri then doubled their lead with a penalty in the 22nd minute, which proved to be enough to seal their place in the semi-finals of the competition.

The match was dominated by FC MUZA, with Simanansa producing an exceptional performance that earned him the man of the match award. Red Arrows, who were finalists in the 2022 Absa Cup, were unable to find a way back into the game and ultimately fell short against their opponents.

In the other game of the quarterfinals, Green Eagles faced off against Trident FC in a closely contested encounter. It was Peter Musukuma’s late goal in the 84th minute that proved to be the difference, as Trident FC secured a 1-0 victory over Green Eagles to book their place in the semi-finals.

This is the first time that both Trident FC and FC MUZA have made it to the Absa Cup, and their impressive performances in the quarterfinals have set them up nicely for a shot at the title.

The semi-finals of the Absa Cup will be played at the Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on the 8th and 9th of April. On the first day of the semi-finals, Forest Rangers will face off against Power Dynamos, who beat Mufulira Wanderers to secure their place in the semis. Forest Rangers, on the other hand, hunted down Green Buffaloes to progress to the next round.

Overall, the Absa Cup Quarterfinals play 3 and 4 provided plenty of excitement for soccer fans, with FC MUZA and Trident FC producing impressive performances to progress to the semi-finals. It will be interesting to see who emerges as the eventual winner of this year’s Absa Cup
