Yes, Nkana butchered, Kalampa unclamped and hanged 3-1 as week 32 of the MTN super league saw the turn for relegation-threatened.

Young Green Eagle’s impressive run at home opened another chapter of intoxicating intrigue when they put Nkana to the sword at the impossible Khosa stadium.

Nkana stepped into the match with some razor-sharp hopes of swimming out of relegation and they were out of relegation 70 minutes into play but for only five minutes.

The embattled defending champions started on a lightning note taking the game to Young Green Eagles but as the home team settled nerves. Damiano Kola tapped in a rebound off a savior Konkola dead ball to fly the Young Eagles ahead in the 36th minute.

Three minutes later, the unbelievable eaglets flapped their wings to a higher altitude when Saviour Konkola ran behind the Nkana defence before he muscled himself into the box out-powering Chimwemwe before slotting home the second goal of the match from close range.

Eagles went into the tunnels with a confortable 2-0 lead that took them to 10th on the table but the second half brought a different texture of drama and endless intrigue.

60 minutes into the match Nkana was in full command of the match but the champions had no shot at goal before drama unfold.

The Nkana bench kept Green Eagles’ ball on tneir bench in all efforts for it not to get on the field of play. As the Eagles officials stepped foward to have their ball back on the field, the referee chimmed in to give stern warning and ruled the ball be kept on the Nkana bench. Seconds later, Alex Ng’onga had water poured on the match ball before he threw it into the Eagles net with his hands inviting a fracas of cursings and wrestling with the Eagles players who didnt like it and five minutes after the rituals, Nkana scored two in a space of five minutes. Magical.

Kampamba who was on the bench when the Eagles ball got abducted powered in a header from close range before Moses Nyondo scored from the same position in the similar manner and Nkana was out of relegation.

The ultimate drama however kissed the supersport cameras when Isaac Ngoma won a tussle against Moses Nyondo to fire home a rocket off the volley into the net putting Eagles back in the lead and Nkana back into relegation.

3-2 in favour of the eaglets it ended and Nkana shift focus to Sunset on Wednesday where they will play ZANACO.
