After a rusty start to the season, Power Dynamoes have finally had a grip on their long-term target Onka Beby Musangala.
The defending Champions are having a nightmare of takeoffs after suffering a 2-1 loss in the first leg of their Champions League match against African Stars of Namibia.
African stars will be flying to Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday pregnant with the confidence to finish off homework that looks halfway done.
Prior to the Champions League assignment, Power Dynamoes were beaten by Simba when they received an invitation to grace the Simba Day celebrations, things would further fall apart when Forest Rangers pounced on their dislocations to record a 3-1 bashing in the Charity Shield final.
It has not been a start to a season the defending Champions wanted after having their pre-season in Mongu but the Champions look set to have their ailing squad properly breastfed after announcing the signing of Beby Onka from Trident.
Exciting Kick-Off MTN Super League Week 1 Performance
Beby would have joined Power Dynamoes earlier but a transfer row between Trident and Nchanga Rangers put his move on halt.
The FAZ disciplinary committee has now however ruled that Trident does a waiver on the tantalising winger to let Power register him as their player. 60 percent of the transfer fee will go to Rangers while 40 percent will go to Trident.
The highly gifted Onka Musangala first came to prominent light in the last edition of the ABSA Cup where his close control, balance, and shin-twisting passing dazzled crowds. Lanky, cool on the ball, and skillful, the Congolese international is everything Power Dynamoes need to improve the penetration impetus of their final third.
Power Dynamoes have availed the player and take on African Warriors on Saturday 26th August, 2023 at Levy Mwanawasa stadium in a do-or-die showpiece.
Elsewhere in Africa, Muza will be hosting Cano Sport at Heroes Stadium. The two teams settled for a 1-1 draw in the first leg and Muza is set to finish off business and advance to the next round.
