Zambia emerged victorious against Lesotho in the AFCON Qualifiers with a commanding 2-0 win, thanks to a brace from Patson Daka. The game started off on a high note for Zambia, with Daka opening the scoring in the 14th minute with a clinical finish.
Lesotho tried to respond, but Zambia’s defense held strong, denying any chance for the opposition to score.
In the second half, Zambia continued their dominance, and Daka added another goal in the 60th minute from a Fashion Sakala assist, putting the game out of Lesotho’s reach. The Zambians made two substitutions, with Clatous Chama and Kennedy Musonda coming on in the 81st and 89th minute, respectively. The changes brought fresh energy to the team, and they managed to see out the game, securing a comfortable victory.
The result marks Zambia’s second win against Lesotho in the AFCON Qualifiers 2023, following their 3-1 win three days earlier at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
