Power Zanaco clash

Alex Ngonga in confrotation

Free-scoring ZANACO’s pedigree will be given a litmus test as they take on wounded Power Dynamoes in a reschedule week 13 fixture.

ZANACO have left Chisamba Lungu in the squad that has traveled to Kitwe and they will have lots of questions to answer against a pummelled Perry Mutapa drilled Power Dynamoes.

In the last 19 clashes between the two zambian football power houses, Power Dynamos has won 9 direct matches while Zanaco has only managed to win 5 matches. 5 matches ended in a draw. On average in direct matches both teams have scored a 2.16 goals per Match.

A clear perspective by numbers this season however gives ZANACO a slight edge over Power Dynamos. Power Dynamos this season have only managed an average score of 0.90 goals per match. It has been a heart numbing concern for Perry Mutapa who has attributed the struggles of his team to a blunt striking force.

The Kitwe side however comes against a razor-sharp ZANACO side who have been enjoying some free-scoring football with Moses Phiri and Roja Kola leading the top Scorers chart having twelve goals in between them. Zanaco comes into this fixture boasting of an average score of 1.54 goals per match in season 2020. The ferocious scoring statistics however might be deceiving as 80 percent of all their goals have been scored at Sunset.

Coming from a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Forest Rangers, the match against ZANACO is a rope on Perry Mutapas neck. His charges need to deliver or the executor presses the button.

In Kabwe, another mouth-watering encounter is on the cards as unbeaten Forest Rangers make a three hour drive to Kabwe to face the magnificent peoples team.

Forest Rangers has been in a no compromising mood since their ejection from the Champions league and they remain the only unbeaten side going into 2021. The however come against a Kabwe warriors team that demonstrated heart, spirit and desire in their draw against power dynamoes.

All odds favour Forest Rangers but Kabwe Warriors has never been a push over at Ucar 107 stadium.
