Rangers edge out league champs Zesco and move 5th

Forest Rangers surprised Defending Champions Zesco United with a 2-1 defeat in the rescheduled Week 2 match of the FAZ Super League played on Wednesday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium .

Kobe Chipeta opened the scoring for Rangers on 28th minute before Fackson Kapumbu restored parity on 42nd minute.

Patrick Ilongo extended the lead to 2-1 on 53rd minute .

Following Wednesdays defeat, United remain second on the table with 13 points from 6 matches played while Rangers move into 5th position on 12 points after playing 6 matches .

Forest will host Kabwe Warriors in their next fixture on Saturday while Zesco will entertain Lumwana Radiants at home .
