The Zambia super league rated 2nd best in Southern Africa and 9th in the pecking order of the 52 football leagues on the continent is known for its fierce competition, thrills, skills, and killer unpredictability.
But who wins the Zambia super league 2022/23 season?
The league will be back on the screens this weekend with Red Arrows stepping forward to defend their title in a season that promises fire and endless intrigue but who wins it.
We collaborate with a colleague from India Gatla Jindal who employs machine learning techniques diving into over five years of the Zambia Super league database, quality of key players at each club, motivation and other factors to command the computer into a stunning prediction. We use classifiers such as SVM and regression, KNN and decision trees to predict who wins the league. The parameters in our database are carefully aligned to help achieve high accuracy and the outcome is hair-raising.
The super machine predicts Chambishi, Buffalos, Buildcon and MUZA all to face a nose dive into division one with NAPSA stars finishing in the top eight.
Zesco and Power Dynamoes will battle to a tight photo finish with Zesco claiming back the title and Power getting back to continental football. Nkana and Green Eagles will finish in the top four bracket ejecting Red Arrows to a 5th place finish.
