Coach Tenant Chilumba fired or sent on administrative leave

Coach Tenant Chilumba fired. Head Coach Tenant Chilumba has been fired from Forest Rangers football club. This is according to a scanned letter posted today 19th May 2021 on the Forest Rangers Facebook page.

“Forest Rangers head coach Tenant Chilumba has been sent on administrative leave with immediate effect.” The letter reads from a subject matter headed Coach Tenant Chilumba Sent on Administrative Leave Indefinitely.

In the meanwhile, second assistant coach Owen Kapasa will assume the mantle of the head coach. It is not clear why Tenant Chilumba been relieved of the duty of head coach.

But Forest Rangers under Tenant last won a game on 25th April 2021 when they played Kabwe Warriors. This was followed by a 1 to nothing loss to Zanaco, a 2-1 to buffaloes. A draw in Kitwe against Chingalika with another draw at home with visiting Prison Leopards.

The capstone of losses was mounted by bashing of 3-0 at Nkoloma stadium by Red Arrows. Tenant Chilumba leaves the office with Forest Rangers perched at 5th position of the Zambia super league 2020/21.
