Two out of two for team Kopala as Rangers thump Celtics in the forest. The MTN Super League entered week two with five matches played in two provinces in Copperbelt and Lusaka respectively.
The Copperbelt province saw three games played on two venues one at the famous Chilata Nkana Stadium and the second some 20km away at Chambishi stadium in Chambishi township.
At Nkana Stadium there was a double header which saw Team KOPALA picking up their second straight win to move to six points at the summit of the 2021/22 season.
Brian Mwila scored the only goal for Buildcon in 89th minutes as Prison Leopards were handed their first leave loss of the season.
At the same venue, Fores Rangers taught some thumped Kafue Celtics 4-1 to move to second position with 4 points.
Two goals from former Nkwazi player Eric Chomba,a well-taken penalty from Nigerian top man Quadri Kola and Jonathan Munalula’s 88th minute’s goal were all that Forest needed to record their first league win of the season.
Celtics scored the consolation Albert Kangwanda in the 20th minute which happened to be an equalizer from Chomba’s earlier goal in the first half.
Chambishi drew 1 all with Indeni after they surrendered their first-half lead which lasted only three minutes as the visitors equalized through Mathews Tolopa.
Down in Lusaka, Green Buffaloes defeated Nkwazi with a lone goal scored by George Ngoma in 59th minutes while Lusaka Dynamos and Konkola Blades settled for a goalless draw.
The action continues tomorrow with Power Dynamos hosting Green Eagles at Arthur Davies stadium both sides will be looking to record maximum points after losing their week one fixture respectively.
The other three matches involving CAF envoys were postponed as the four representatives are involved in CAF games this week.
