The super league week 8 saw poor goal records on the away side recording only 4 and two of those are on the Zanaco side. One of the league’s big guns Power Dynamos failed to make a breakthrough at Independence Stadium with Green Buffaloes falling behind with a goal difference.

Home Performance
On the home teams a total of 13 was recorded with most goals from Zesco United as Jesse Jackson Were headed home with a double brace in addition to Chama’s goal totalling five goals that saw the humbling of the younglings Mufulira Blackpool. At Shinde Stadium a lone goal from the host, a penalty shoot by Joseph Kasongo, consoled the Mufulira Wanderers in the 2:1 loss.
League leader Nkana “Kalampa” clamped the disillusioned “Elite” Lusaka Dynamos with 3 goals behind the net. Thanks to Walter Bwalya’s converted penalty and Guilly Manziba’s thrilling play with a brace and player of the match award. The goal from Bwalya ensured him at 6 goals tally in 7 games, just trailing behind Jesse Jackson from Zesco United who is at 8 goals in 6 games toping the Premier Division Goal scorer list.
In Midlands Green Buffaloes earned 3 easy points in a victory with 2 goals against Power Dynamos. Lottie Phiri and Sebastian Mwansa ensured that ceiling for the host. Napsa Stars and Red Arrows increased their efforts with a goal for each against Kabwe Warriors and Green Eagles respectively.
Forest Rangers failed to score but conceded a goal while Lumwana Radiants earned 1 point from the goalless draw. Nakambala Leopards had their week 8 fixture postponed.
The total goals for the week was 17 coming only third from the highest week 3 which had 21 goals with second been week 7 with recording 19 goals.
