On all Confederation Argentina takes the first position, Germany fourth with Brazil seventh, followed closely by Portugal. England stands at eleventh and USA at thirty first falling into thirty two with Algeria.

Zambia’s Next Encounters

The Kenya national football team colloquially known as “Harambee Stars” trails 50 paces away behind the Chipolopolo. Kenya cast importance as they will face Zambia in the last Afcon 2017 qualifier encounter to be played next September in Zambia. In the Afcon 2017 Qualifiers first round meeting in Kenya at Nyayo National stadium, September 6 2015, Winstone Kalengo and Collins Mbesuma outshined the Harambee stars with the 2:1 outcome.

At the core of this ranking stands Guinea-Bissau with current Fifa mens positioning of 55 and average position of #70. Guinea was on the 79th (current Zambia position) in 1998 and 2005. With the lowest drop in 2002 with #120 position Guinea has reorganised and sharply rose to #23, #39 and now #55.  On the other hand Zambia national football team averages 54 since FIFA world ranking creation. The Chipolopolo average traces much to the 90’s when Zambia had the peak performance. The highest position attained was #20 in 1996 with #21 in the following year 1997 and the same position #21 two years earlier in 1994.

As years have progressed Zambia has dropped with FIFA/Coca-Cola men’s world ranking that even wining the Afcon 2012 championship Zambia stood on 34th position and could not beat the 90’s average of #25.  On the state of the squad @fazfootball reported
