Flashback – Zambia beat Cameroon 4-1 in 1985

Zambia in a glorious time beat Cameroon 4-1 in 1985 at Lusaka’s Independence stadium. Independence stadium is just behind National Heroes stadium.

Nkana Red Devils, now Nkana football club, Striker Michael Chabala scored a hat trick and the other goal came from Red Arrows ‘s Aaron Njovu.

What a game Independence Stadium full to Capacity of 35,000 people plus others watching from nearby Humanism Hill with small radios brand ITT Supersonic. They followed Uncle Dennis Liwewe on radio closely and only watching the Northern part of Independence Stadium.

Zambia went to Cameroon and drew 1-1 scored through Rodger Milla while Zambia scored through skipper Jones Chilengi of Green Buffaloes.
