Top Five Performances Of The Week From Zambian Footballers Abroad

In what promises to be a season build-up pregnant with foretaste, Zambian sons abroad with their teams on preseason tours have looked razor-sharp shaping up well throughout the week.

Here is a list of the most dazzling performances of the Zambian boys but which one has been your performance of the week?

5. Tandi Mwape

Tandi Mwape joined the Ravens of Congo DR TP Mazembe from Kabwe Warriors and he is already happening. The Zambian international center back was dropped in the T. P Mazembe team that travelled to East Africa for the CECAFA championship.

He has the rock at the heart of the T. P Mazembe side that has progressed to the semi-finals of the Championship playing all the matches. If Mwape maintains his good start he will make a central defence partnership with fellow countryman Kabaso Chongo.

4. Lameck Banda

The little tear gas moved to Russia from Buildcon in search for Greener pastures. He safely perched at Russian Top tier side Arsenal Tula alongside his teammate Klings Kangwa for trials and the shots git fired.

The nimble-footed piece of talent didn’t the worst time to impress. Banda produced an audacious slice of footwork before he fired home a screamer in his first appearance for Arsenal Tula scoring on his debut. Banda and Kangwa have since Signed for the Russian Outfit.

3. Lazarous Kambole

The quick feeted handsome savage has wheels on his feet and he seems to have carried brand new tires as he flew to South Africa. Kambole joined Amankhosi Kaizer chiefs from the top Zambian side Zesco United. Having settled in Soweto, Kambole scored a beauty in a high profile friendly match over the nick of the weekend.

And he instantly won the hearts of the Kaizerchiefs fans who voted for him to start alongside Parker in their first match of the season. With his unquenchable appetite for goals and need for speed upfront, Kambole looks like a raging storm in the 2019 PSL season.

2. Rainford Kalaba

The T. P Mazembe captain is in East Africa with his team taking part in the CECAFA championship and he is on a trail for a resurgence. The little spirit of football rolled back the years in his team’s 6-1 rout of Sudanese side Atlabara.

Rainford Kalaba scored a brace that puts the ravens as favourites to win the tournament as they keep playing better football since they lost their first match. Rainford Kalaba has been putting up some stellar displays which have raised his side from the cellars of an embarrassing outing.

1 Patson Daka Jr.

On top of my weekend compilation is Patson Daka junior. If there can be anything ever good in the career of young Daka, it is to remain at Salzburg and fight to command a place in that ferocious Front line.

With Earling Haaland promoted into the first team, the race for playing time is fierce but Daka is already putting up a good fight. Patson conjured a spectacle of pace, power, and precision in Salzburg`s preseason friendly against Feryenood when he scored a brace.

The Zambian concocted some impressive chemistry and understanding with young Haaland when they interchanged sweet passes in the box before Daka finished from close range but his first goal was the most breathtaking.

The Former Power Dynamos man ignited the move from deep in the midfield before he used his speed and strength to power past a forest of opponents. Daka let loose of the ball to pock into an empty space before he received back the ball to slot in a thunderbolt of a net buster.

Which of the top five was your performance of the weekend?
