Zambian local football is improving in many departments. From sponsorship of the clubs to the quality of football on the pitch.
We are witnessing revivified vintage rivalries and upcoming ones. There has been considerable civilizations among the respective passionate fans on the the terraces. The pageantry, the struggle, the victories and the newsworthy scores. MTN Fazfootball has become a the link to what we knew of the KK 11 to the Chipolopolo.

I will not speak much on other developments than ones I am well braced about. It’s the degree rise in the technical quality of the overall Zambian game.
Watching Lumwana Radiants matching up equally with teams like Nkana and Zesco United and indeed Zesco United F.C. running triumphantly across the African continent into the semifinals of the CAF champions league, one would readily acknowledge a new brand of Zambian football coming out authentic from the pangs of birth.

But for a few exceptions, a majority of Zambian coaches have adopted a 4-4-2 formation and made it their own. Some play with two holding midfielders and others with one. Whatever the case there will be two prominent front men in attack.
With this formation “Zambianized and seasoned” differently from one coach to another, I see Zambian football, in an approaching future, marking a renaissance of some sort or perhaps an age golden.
