Charity shield semi finals at Arthur Davies stadium in Kitwe whipped to a 9 goals tick sheet with just the two games played. Interesting thursday showed Arthur Davies packed as the four league giants prelude to the MTN FAZ super league 2017.
Power Dynamos 2 – 4 Zesco United
Zesco bogged down and hammered Power Dynamos in free scoring fixture. Goals from Jesse Jackson Were x2 and David Owino ensured the second best 2016 team pushed their limit.
From a tight angle Were made clear Zesco’s intention. This was easily followed by David Owino just before half an hour of play. As the first half was concluding the scoreline was 3 -1 in favor of Zesco.
Lyson Sikaonga had pulled on one at 41st minute. Substitute for Kelvin Kampamba Larry Bwalya filtered Power Dynamos from a bogging shock.
Larry cracked something of brilliance just 4 minutes before full time consoling Power Dynamos to two goals against the four from Zesco
Nkana 3 – 0 Zanaco
Walter Bwalya opened the doors in the 8th minute. From a brilliant cross of the Congolese Soutra Tshimenga it was a clear chance for Walter. Ronald “Sate Sate” Kampamba emerged and pulled a quick one just few minutes into the second half.
Waiting on Joseph Musonda Nkana in the last quarter pushed their limit. Veteran Joseph handled delightfully the foul and turned in a free kick.
Charity Shield Final will be on Sunday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. And Zesco United is set to meet Nkana and see the old rivalry.
